Graduate Teaching Assistant — CSE 190: Introduction to Deep Reinforcement Learning

Undergraduate Course, University of California, San Diego, 2026

In Spring 2026, I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for CSE 190: Introduction to Deep Reinforcement Learning at UC San Diego under Dr. Prithviraj Ammanabrolu. The course introduces undergraduates to the foundations of RL — Markov decision processes, policy gradients, value-based methods — and modern deep RL, including the techniques that underpin RLHF and post-training of LLMs.

My duties included:

  • Holding office hours and discussion sections.
  • Designing and grading homework assignments and project rubrics.
  • Mentoring student final projects on RL algorithms and applications.
  • Answering questions on the class forum.
